Crop Breeding Services offers the service of ‘Tissue Sampling’ for marker assisted selection. This is made possible as individual plants are sown in such a way that they have their own identity (co-ordinates) and so plant material can be harvested into labelled vials and air freighted to any capital city or DNA extraction laboratory. After marker screening is completed, results can be emailed to CBS and culling undertaken as requested.
